Beginning in January 2017, Via Evaluation began a partnership with Education, Training and Research Associates (ETR) on “Making Healthy Decisions,” an initiative to reduce teen pregnancy and encourage positive nutrition habits. ETR, a behavioral health non-profit, provides science-based innovative solutions in health and education designed to achieve transformative change in individuals, families and communities. As the contractor for “Making Healthy Decisions”, Via will be traveling to community-based organizations in Buffalo, Pittsburgh and throughout Ohio to conduct baseline surveys, follow-up surveys, and fidelity monitoring observations. The “Making Healthy Decisions” initiative is supported by a 5-year grant from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services Office of Adolescent Heath, awarded to Carnegie Mellon University and West Virginia University; ETR serves as the outside evaluator on the project.
