Via Evaluation was recently awarded a contract to evaluate a program for Just Detention International (https://justdetention.org/). JDI, a nonprofit human rights organization that works to prevent sexual abuse in detention settings, has offices in Los Angeles, CA; Washington, DC; and Johannesburg, South Africa.
The project Via Evaluation is currently evaluating for JDI is focused on establishing the first-ever statewide hotline exclusively dedicated to serving incarcerated survivors of sexual assault. JDI is aiming to create a model that could be used in additional jurisdictions, and requires evaluative feedback to inform program improvement and understand project outcomes. The project is funded by the Office for Victims of Crime (https://www.ovc.gov/), a component of the Office of Justice Programs, U.S. Department of Justice.
We are pleased to welcome JDI as a new client and to expand our federally-funded work to include U.S. Department of Justice-funded projects.
