Caroline Taggart attended the 4th biennial Global Implementation Conference (GIC) in Toronto, Canada last week. With the conference theme of “Expanding Implementation Perspectives: Engaging Systems,” the GIC focused on expanding the understanding of systems working together “to effectively implement at scale and with social impact.” This topic resonates with Via Evaluation, as we currently evaluate the HOPE Buffalo initiative to prevent teen pregnancy, through which various partners implement evidence-based interventions in multiple settings throughout the city of Buffalo.
Ms. Taggart attended sessions discussing measurement systems and rapid results, implementation research in randomized controlled trials (RCTs), approaches to bringing mental health interventions into schools, and the Rapid Feedback Evaluation (RFE) approach utilized by the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
