Back in January of this year, the team at Via Evaluation welcomed our new grant writer, Briana Popek, and announced our new offering of a full range of grant writing and reviewing services. To kick-off our new services with all the pomp and circumstance this exciting news deserved, we offered FREE grant writing services to a limited number of new clients who were interested in pursuing Erie County’s Department of Social Service’s Primetime Grant. This grant funding supports non-profit organizations providing summer programming to at-risk youth in Erie County.
Within hours of the announcement of our campaign kick-off, the phones were ringing and the available slots for this promotion were taken! Over the next few days, our grant writing team, Dr. Gary Ciurczak and Briana Popek, met with our new clients and helped them articulate their programs, design goals and objectives, and craft winning grant proposals.
Via is excited to congratulate three of our new clients on successfully being awarded Primetime grants. Buffalo Center for Arts and Technology, Group Ministries, and True Community Development Corporation were all selected as grant recipients. Buffalo Center for Arts and Technology will use the grant to support its Summer Youth Arts program. Group Ministries will provide mentoring, violence prevention and health education programming. True Community Development Corporation will provide mentoring and job readiness programming. These three critical programs will bring services to Erie County’s most at-risk youth, and are working to make our community a better place for all!
