Via Evaluation team members Jessica Weitzel and Caroline Taggart attended Society for Research on Educational Effectiveness conference for the third consecutive year on March 2nd-5th. This year’s theme, “Lost in Translation: Building Pathways from Knowledge to Action” especially resonated with Via.
The Via Team attended many informative sessions with distinguished education researchers, and a full-day professional development workshop on conducting Cost Analyses. Session topics included building partnerships and data systems for applied research to inform action, the impact of organizational factors on program outcomes, changes in educational accountability systems, as well as emerging research on early childhood programs, non-cognitive/social-emotional skill building programs, and charter school effectiveness.
