Via Evaluation is anticipating the upcoming opening of the NYS Consolidated Funding Application which in previous years has occurred around May/June. This process allows municipalities, institutions of higher education, community-based organizations, and businesses to apply for funds from a multitude of state agencies through one application (application questions vary by program). Applications are evaluated by Regional Economic Development Councils and program-specific reviewers.
In 2014, $750 million was available through the CFA to fund projects related to community development, waterfront revitalization, energy, environmental improvements, and education/workforce development, as well as direct assistance to businesses and other organizations and low-cost financing.
These competitive grants require a lot of planning and documentation, and it is critical to start developing potential projects in advance of the release of the RFP and opening of the application portal. Please contact Gary Ciurczak to learn more about the CFA and how Via Evaluation can assist you with your application.
