NYSED has scheduled the imminent release of requests for proposals (RFPs) for the following major grants. Each grant has been issued in the past. Watch NYS Grants Gateway for a link to the RFPs.
This is the NYSED summary for each grant:
- Exemplary School Models and Practices grant works to close the achievement gap and increase the academic achievement and college and career readiness (CCR) of students with an emphasis on boys and young men of color. Districts will develop and/or expand exemplary high-quality college and career readiness school models, programs and practices that demonstrate cultural and linguistic responsiveness, and that emphasize the needs of boys and young men of color.
- Early College High School seeks to increase high school graduation rates of high need students and increase their participation in post-secondary education through a network of Early College High School Partnerships (districts and Institutions of Higher Education) in New York State.
- NYS Pathways in Technology Early College High School (NYS P-TECH) program will prepare students for high-skills jobs of the future in technology, manufacturing, healthcare and finance. The model incorporates a six-year program that combines high school, college, and career training and will be targeted to academically at-risk, disadvantaged students.
- The Clinically-Rich Intensive Teacher Institute in Bilingual Education and English to Speakers of Other Languages (CR-ITI-BE/ESOL) initiative encourages and supports innovative, clinically rich undergraduate upper division teacher preparation pilot program partnerships that prepares candidates to become effective educators in high-need public schools with high concentrations of students who are learning English as a second language.
Via Evaluation would be a great match for your organization while it is planning and writing the application, and once the grant is awarded. We have extensive experience in each of these areas, working in the areas of improving student achievement, STEM, ELL/MLL students, and higher education teacher training.
Nearly every RFP has M/WBE participation targets, and Via Evaluation is majority women-owned, and has completed the application to receive WBE status.
