November 2, 2016
Holly Dickinson, Director of Grants and Jessica Weitzel, Director of Evaluation, will combine their expertise to present about the importance of evaluation in grant proposal development at the annual GPA conference. The GPA conference will take place in Atlanta, Georgia from November 9th-12th , the same city where two weeks earlier Via Evaluation was strongly represented at the American Evaluation Association conference.
Ms. Dickinson and Ms. Weitzel will present “Starting with the End in Mind: Write Better Proposals by Increasing Your Knowledge of Evaluation” on November 12th from 10:30 to 11:45 a.m. The presentation will focus on the importance of evaluative thinking in program design and proposal development, from the beginning of the process, in order to improve program and proposal quality. The increase in grantor expectations regarding program evaluation makes this particularly important for those who submit applications to large funders (such as state and federal agencies).
