Charter schools provide their students with innovative ways to help them achieve academic excellence. In order to assist Charter Schools in the dissemination and replication of successful models and practices, the Federal and NYS Education Departments have allocated funds for two competitive grant programs this year.
Now open, and due on 3/11/16, is NYSED’s “2016-2019 New York State Charter School Dissemination Grant Program.” This grant will fund up to $500,000 over a 3 year period to support NYS Charter Schools in the dissemination of tested and proven, successful practices and programs, to benefit School Districts. This opportunity is only available every 3 years, so make sure you don’t miss out on the current round!
Projected for release in March, and anticipated to be due in May, “Charter Schools Program (CSP) Grants for Replication and Expansion of High-Quality Charter Schools” is funded by the USDOE. This 5-year grant provides large awards (several hundred thousand to several million dollars) to charter school management organizations or other non-profit entities to replicate or expand high-quality programs that have a demonstrated record of success. Applicants must operate more than one charter school.
These amazing opportunities, for Charter Schools that are successful in meeting student needs, both require evidence of success and an evaluation of the proposed program. Via Evaluation excels at both and we are happy to help you complete a winning application or evaluate your program. To learn more, contact us at (716) 362-0627 or send us an email.
