The New York State Office of Children and Family Services (OCFS) recently released the 2019 Request for Proposals for the Advantage Afterschool program. OCFS will be awarding $33 million to develop, extend, or expand after school programs.
Community-based non-profit organizations can apply for grant funds, in cooperation with local school districts. Each contract will be for $80,000-$280,000 per year, likely from September 2019-August 2024. The maximum cost per student served increased from $1,375 in the last round, to $2,000 per student this round.
Grantees are required to measure program outcomes and performance targets. VIA can help your organization set good targets that will foster high-quality programming and sustainability.
