VIA Evaluation is thrilled to welcome three new members to our team!
Debra Spearing will help guide implementation of the VIA’s strategic plan and to assist non-profits and educational organizations to better understand how their work impacts individuals and communities. Before joining VIA, Spearing held roles in human resources, research, workforce development and education, most recently served as vice president of human resources for a local software development firm. She has taught a variety of courses in industrial/organizational psychology, human resources and communication for various educational institutions. She holds a Ph.D. in Business Psychology from the Chicago School of Professional Psychology, an M.A. in Psychology from Medaille College and a B.A. in Psychology from Alfred University.
Jennifer Duer brings over 20 years of systems implementation, change management, talent acquisition and human resources from various organizations within a variety of industries. Most recently, she was a talent acquisition specialist/HR generalist for a local software development firm. At VIA, she will help to implement efficiencies for the office, improve processes and help coordinate systems to provide maximum benefit for VIA staff and clients. Duer holds a B.S. in Management and Spanish from SUNY Geneseo and an M.B.A. in Business Administration in Human Resources from Argosy University
Shanleigh Corrallo holds a Ph.D. in History from SUNY Buffalo (UB), recently completing her dissertation on African American community development in the rustbelt, focused in Buffalo and Rochester, NY. She holds an M.A. in Interdisciplinary Studies, History and Criminology,
and a B.A. in History, with a minor in Spanish from Niagara University. She was awarded several fellowships including the Fellowship on Women and Public Policy, Center for Women in Government and Civil Society, and The Health Foundation for Western & Central New York, Buffalo, NY. Corrallo has worked in public policy positions for the New York State Office of Temporary and Disability Assistance, for the Health Foundation of Western & Central New York, and for the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development. Her work at VIA will focus on helping clients improve their outcomes, which in turn, will help to improve community outcomes.
