Research has consistently indicated that high-quality afterschool programming has positive effects on children. The 21st Century Community Learning Centers (21st CCLC) grant supports before-school, after-school, and summer learning programs that provide essential academic and enrichment programs. Via Evaluation has provided evaluation services for 53 programs for 28 clients providing essential 21st CCLC programs across New York.
This year a new round of 21st CCLC funding was announced through the New York State Education Department. Via was pleased to work with 18 clients writing grants and partnering to provide essential evaluation services. With funding announcements expected in 2017, Via looks forward to continuing to help afterschool program providers to improve and sustain these important programs for kids!
