We extend our congratulations to the recipients of the 21st Century Community Learning Centers (21st CCLC) grant to provide after-school programming. Awards were announced this week.
The purpose of the 21st CCLC grant is to create or expand community learning centers that provide academic enrichment and youth development opportunities to students and families who may not otherwise have access to these opportunities. The grant process was very competitive, with only 125 of over 450 applications awarded.
Via Evaluation has evaluated almost 40 unique 21st CCLC grants in NY State from the very first round of funding, as well as many Extended School Day and other education-related grants. Many of our current clients, and some new clients, were awarded new grants in this round of funding. We are gratified to continue our work conducting high-quality evaluations for after-school programs.
