In May, Ciurczak & Company, Inc. (now Via Evaluation) staff presented results of the Buffalo Public Schools administration of the Youth Risk Behavior Survey (YRBS) to the Board of Education. The presentation highlighted areas of district strength and need compared to state and national results. The data will be used by the district to inform strategies to address student social, emotional, and physical health needs.
The district administered the YRBS, which was created by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, in the fall of 2011. YRBS summary reports created by Ciurczak and Company, Inc. for Buffalo Public Schools are available on the district’s Student Support Services website.
